ABOUT

Main-Low Def.jpg

HELLO

My name is Phoebe and my passion lies in photography, videography, and nonprofit storytelling. After years of experience in the nonprofit and visual media sectors, I’ve learned to leverage my communication, visual acuity, and relationship-building skills to catalyze change through emotive storytelling.

BACKGROUND

While acquiring my Bachelor's in Documentary Journalism at the

University of Missouri - Columbia, I was trained by working professionals in the techniques of modern photojournalism, communications, marketing, and filmmaking.

My documentary short Qualm & Quietus received the Silver Award from IMDb's Independent Shorts Awards and officially premiered at NYC's 2020 First Look Film Fest at the Museum of the Moving Image.

Since then, I've been honored to collaborate with organizations such as Milkweed Editions and Quivira Coalition to create visual media that elevates brand identity and offers valuable storytelling.

I've since served Lindenwood University as their Staff Photographer / Videographer, and currently manage communications for environmental nonprofit The Resilient Activist.

My visual work has appeared in platforms such as the Missouri Botanical Garden's Bulletin & Calendar, Content.23 Media, the Quivira Coalition's print newsletter "Resilience," the Columbia Missourian Newspaper, and 4th Row Films documentaries, and my projects taken to me from New York to Thailand to Scotland.

Much of my work is oriented to environmental conservation and activism, because I believe visual media is a potent medium of bringing issues to society's attention.

I'm grateful to uplift mission-driven organizations, shed light on societal solutions, and tell stories that matter as my life's work.
